What is this Masterclass about?

“The Internet  (technology)  is like alcohol in some sense. It accentuates what you would do anyway. If you want to be a loner, you can be more alone. If you want to connect, it makes it easier to connect.” ― Esther Dyson.

And this is specifically true for children!!

When talking about the benefits of technology for children, doesn't bringing in the tech education sphere make us biased?

Well, I wouldn’t say biased. If anything, it makes us informed.

So, let’s clear the air.

Are there cons to exposing kids to technology? Of course. Like all things, there has to be a good and a bad. But remember this—the bad usually stems from abuse and extremes. Eating pizza is good. Eating a whole pizza is bad. Sleeping. Also good. Sleeping all day? Typically bad.

So all Fluent lifers let’s gear up for an enticing debate on one of the most catchy topics of current times!! Book your seats now to avoid regrets later!

How do I prepare for this Masterclass?

In this masterclass, Once participants join, the host will divide them into two teams, FOR and AGAINST.  Participants brainstorm the points related to the topic for an effective discussion.  Below are a few questions that will help you brainstorm, Note: Late joiners will be allowed as spectators. Join on time to debate                                                                                                                                                                              3 Questions: For the team :
Is technology making children's lives better?
Should children be sheltered from technology as they grow?
Doesn’t technology affect children’s social skills?
A sedentary lifestyle is a common thing among children using technology excessively. Comment
3 Questions: Against Team :
Educational apps, online resources, and educational television programming can all help children learn about all their favorite topics. Technology can lead to enhanced learning, don’t you think?
Using technology, children can: Animate videos, Write and share stories, Film and edit short movies, Compose, record, and mix songs, Tour museums around the world virtually, etc. With technology, wouldn’t children learn new skills and create things in ways that were impossible just a couple of decades ago?
As technology continues to grow and flourish, there will be more demand for professionals ready to take on technology careers. Don’t you think exposing children to technology will help prepare them for future tech careers?
