Whether India is tolerant or intolerant, is a debate that has been going on for quite some time now. The very fact that people in India can keep on calling India intolerant and continue to live peacefully proves that India is a tolerant country! How can a country, in which people get away with using abusive language against the Prime Minister be intolerant? How is a country in which people of so many religious faiths live and practice their religion without any restrictions, be intolerant? India has even responded to terror attacks in a more tolerant manner than other countries. Every country has it’s own laws and if following the law of land is intolerant then yes India is intolerant. There are restrictions imposed by many countries on people practicing different religions or voicing their frank opinions. In India everybody is free to practice their own religion, customs and traditions. It is only people who want to divide the country on different lines who are calling India intolerant.
In this masterclass, Once participants join ,the host will divide them in to two teams , FOR and AGAINST. Participants to brainstorm the points related to topic for an effective discussion.
