Reading the news these days is often a depressing and anxiety inducing task. Mass shootings, pipe bombs, assassinations, and—over it all—climate change haunt the discussion. The sources of these modern human malignancies are generally the same: male leaders who want to maintain economic, political, and religious power no matter the cost. It begs the question: Can women rule the world? Will women rule differently from men? Will empowering women make the world a better place? The supporters of the notion claim that under women leadership Businesses would be more productive, and communities would be healthier. Whereas opponents believe that nothing will change for the better.
So let’s debate!
In this Masterclass, We will give a debatable topic to the participants and ask them to research both “ For the topic” and “against the topics” as a pre-class activity.
In class, the conveyor introduces the topic and divides the participants into two teams, and hosts the masterclass. We will also have a co-host who will evaluate the communication skills of each participant and give feedback to the participants at the end of the show.
By participating in this masterclass, one can improve their argumentative speech, persuasive skills, and critical thinking skills which is the utmost requirement of any company.
Please note : We would request all the participants to join on time. Late joiners will be allowed to the masterclass as spectators . Brainstorm the below questions:
1. Women clearly lacked the intellectual capacity and emotional fortitude to make the difficult decisions that leadership required.- Comment
2. Sometimes it's women who hold themselves back - they don't own their own value, raise their hands for promotions or ask for more money.So how can they be effective rulers of the world?
3. It wasn't bias, it was biology - it was just the way women were made.-Comment
4. Dont you think if women ruled the world they would never be victims?
5. Women think rationally, there’d be less violence, lot of problems can be solved by discussions; instead of bombing!
6. As per records, women leaders in business make a difference too: helping firms embrace modern ideas like flexible working and job sharing; what is your approach towards this thought?
What examples can we think of to make women leaders rule the world? ( as they will ensure that there will be no sexual assault, no catcalling, no mansplaining)
